Jack Malloy Hunts Merriam Turkeys in South Dakota
The biggest bird weighed in at 26 pounds. I shot it with a 17 caliber rimfire rifle (it's legal there to take turkeys with a rifle).
The second bird I shot with a 22-250 at 200 yards. The ranch I hunted on was over 150,000 acres and you could ride a horse on it all day in any direction from the center and never get out of it. A really great hunt in beautiful country.
