Chesapeake Chapter's Feb '10 Monthly Sundowner Get Together

Carl Wagner has graciously invited all Chesapeake Chapter SCI members to his home on Cumberstone Road in Harwood, MD for the most informal February 2010 Chesapeake Chapter Sundowner. He has arranged as our special guest, Tienie Bamberger, owner and operator of Warthog Safaris near Ellisras, Limpopo, South Africa. Tienie has access to the Big Five plus all the plains game animals you could want. This will be an excellent opportunity for anyone thinking about going to Africa to hunt to meet a truly outstanding professional hunter who will gladly try to answer all of your questions. Carl has hunted with Tienie on three separate safaris (2006 - 2007 - 2008) shooting thirty-two animals, including a male lion that dropped just THIRTEEN feet in front of him (the video is a must see). A special Warthog Safari discount will be available to all Chapter members.

This will also be an opportunity for those so inclined to socialize and network with fellow hunters, tell bald-face lies, and to admit to or deny other high crimes and misdemeanors. Beer, wine, and snacks will be provided, courtesy of Carl, and his wife, Catherine. Everyone, including spouses and non-Chapter members are invited and most welcome. There is no cost, no obligation, and there will be no fundraising. Appropriate attire is anything legal within the state of Maryland. Feel free to come and go any time between 5 and 8 p.m.

This is a new and continuing endeavor for our Chapter. Put the third Monday of each month on your calendar to attend the Chesapeake Chapter's monthly Sundowner Get together.Where and when will be announced monthly via e-mail.
